What phases of the moon are there?
Every month the moon goes through four phases:
- new moon
- Waxing Moon
- Full moon
- Waning Moon
At the beginning of the lunar cycle, the moon is between the sun and the Earth, which is why we cannot see it: it is a new moon. Afterward, the phase change occurs synchronously with the moon's position relative to the sun. First, it gradually "uncovers" itself, and we see a crescent. When the moon is at right angles to the sun, it appears as a half moon. And at a full moon, the moon and sun are directly opposite each other.
How do the phases of the moon influence life?
With its infinite power, the moon sets entire oceans in motion around the clock. Isn't it obvious that it also influences our bodies? While this connection hasn't yet been fully scientifically confirmed, many (especially sensitive) people frequently feel the lunar phases.

There are stories that say that women's menstrual cycles used to always run synchronously with the lunar cycle. According to this theory, women menstruated on the new moon and were fertile on the full moon. Scientists debate whether modern-day artificial light might have disrupted this rhythm.
