The best before date (BBD)
What is behind it?
When it comes to the best-before date (BBD for short), many people immediately think of "no longer good." But especially when it comes to dietary supplements, the BBD is not an expiration date!
Rather, it represents the period during which the product retains its full quality and effectiveness – provided it is stored properly. This means: Your product can still be used safely even after the expiration date without losing its effectiveness.
Unlike fresh foods like fish or meat, where the best-before date must be strictly adhered to, dietary supplements can often be used beyond their expiration date . Once opened, close tightly and use promptly!
HOW TO STORE YOUR YLUMI PRODUCTS CORRECTLY
With proper storage, you can maintain the quality of your supplements:
- Store in a cool (room temperature) and dry place
- Protect from sunlight
- Close tightly after opening and consume quickly
DO NOT DISPOSE OF PRODUCTS PREMATURELY!
Even if the best-before date has passed, you can still use many dietary supplements – as long as they have been stored properly.
Just pay attention to any changes in smell, color, or taste. If the product remains unobtrusive , there's nothing to stop you from eating it. This way, you can contribute to preventing unnecessary waste and continue to support your body at the same time.
