data protection

The operators of these websites take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

You can generally use our website without providing any personal data. If personal data (such as name, address, or email addresses) is collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis, wherever possible. This data will not be shared with third parties without your express consent.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., when communicating via email) may be subject to security gaps. Complete protection of data from access by third parties is not possible.

PRIVACY POLICY FOR THE USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS

This website uses features of the web analysis service Google Analytics, provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses "cookies," which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is typically transferred to a Google server in the United States and stored there.

As part of Google Analytics, we also use the Google Signals extension, which enables tracking across multiple devices. To do this, Google uses the data of users who are simultaneously logged into a Google service when visiting our website and who have activated the "personalized advertising" option in their Google Account settings (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please see Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de

Google Remarketing

This website uses Google Remarketing technology from Google Inc. ("Google"). For this purpose, cookies are placed on your computer. Third parties, including Google, use these cookies to record which of our websites you have visited with your browser. This information can then be used to show you our ads at a later time on other websites, e.g. as part of Google Search or on websites in the Google network. Further information on data protection at Google and how remarketing works can be found in the Google Privacy Policy. You can also deactivate the storage of cookies using the settings in your browser and/or object to the collection of data as part of Google Remarketing using the Google Ad Settings.

Smarketer FAST Tracking

Smarketer GmbH uses the FAST tracking system to precisely evaluate the success of advertising campaigns. Data resulting from interaction with advertising materials is stored for a period of only 90 days and is used solely for accurate performance measurement and billing. It is emphasized that no user profiling takes place, and the use of a unique, anonymous key prevents user tracking. Therefore, targeted advertising based on personal data is not possible with FAST.

FAST links user activities, such as clicking on an ad, to specific actions such as purchases or registrations, without using cookies or similar technologies. The creation of a device fingerprint is based exclusively on non-personal data such as browser settings or language settings.

In the context of Google Ads or Microsoft Ads, information such as the order number and shopping cart value are transmitted after a transaction and stored for 90 days. Personal data such as names or addresses are not collected. Other data that may be transmitted includes a sequential ID, ClickID, the time of purchase, currency, and the type of conversion. This data processing is carried out under strict security measures, and transmission to servers in the USA adheres to high data protection standards.

The processing purposes are limited to the necessary allocation and accounting of advertising successes, which is in line with the legal framework.

All collected data will be deleted after 90 days at the latest. Users also have the option to opt out of tracking using an opt-out link.

Responsibility for data collection lies with Smarketer GmbH, which can be reached at Alte Jakobstraße 83/84, 10179 Berlin, or by email at info@smarketer.de.

In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves if you create an account with them. In this case, you must log in to the payment service provider using your access data during the ordering process. The privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies in this respect.

NEWSLETTER

(1) With your consent, you can subscribe to our newsletter, which will inform you about our current, interesting offers. The advertised goods and services are listed in the consent form.

(2) We use the so-called double opt-in procedure to register for our newsletter. This means that after your registration, we will send you an email to the email address you provided, asking you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. We store your IP addresses and the times of registration and confirmation. The purpose of this procedure is to verify your registration and, if necessary, to investigate any possible misuse of your personal data.

(3) The only mandatory information required to receive the newsletter is your email address. Providing additional, separately marked data is voluntary and will be used to address you personally. After your confirmation, we will save your email address for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

(4) You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can declare your revocation by clicking on the link provided in each newsletter email, by email to (support@ylumi.de), or by sending a message to the contact details provided in the imprint. We use the Klaviyo service provided by Klaviyo Inc., Boston, USA, to send our newsletter. The data you provide when registering for the newsletter (email address, if applicable, name, IP address, date and time of registration) will be transferred to a Klaviyo Inc. server in the USA and stored there in compliance with the "US Privacy Shield." Further information on data protection at Klaviyo can be found at: http://klaviyo.com/privacy/.

(5) We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behavior when sending the newsletter. For this evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are single-pixel image files stored on our website. For the evaluation, we link the data mentioned in Section 3 and the web beacons with your email address and a unique ID. We use the data obtained in this way to create a user profile in order to tailor the newsletter to your individual interests. In doing so, we record when you read our newsletters, which links you click on in them, and use this to infer your personal interests.

Right of objection
You can object to this tracking at any time by clicking on the separate link provided in every email or by informing us via another contact method, e.g., by email to support@ylumi.de. The information will be stored for as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. After unsubscribing, we store the data purely statistically and anonymously. Such tracking is also not possible if you have deactivated the display of images by default in your email program. In this case, the newsletter will not be displayed in full, and you may not be able to use all of its functions. If you display the images manually, the above-mentioned tracking will occur.

SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE

We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to communicate with customers, interested parties and users active there and to inform them about our services. We would like to point out that user data may be processed outside the European Union. This may result in risks for users because it could, for example, make it more difficult to enforce user rights. With regard to US providers certified under the Privacy Shield, we would like to point out that they thereby undertake to comply with EU data protection standards. Furthermore, user data is generally processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, user profiles can be created from user behavior and the resulting interests of users. The user profiles can in turn be used, for example, to place advertisements within and outside the platforms that presumably correspond to the interests of the users. For these purposes, cookies are generally stored on users' computers in which the usage behavior and interests of the users are saved. Furthermore, data can also be stored in the user profiles regardless of the devices used by the users (particularly if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them). The processing of users' personal data is based on our legitimate interests in effectively informing and communicating with users in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If users are asked by the respective platform providers for consent to the data processing described above, the legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) (a) and Art. 7 GDPR. For a detailed description of the respective processing operations and the opt-out options, we refer to the information provided by the providers linked below. In the case of requests for information and the assertion of user rights, we would like to point out that these can be most effectively asserted with the providers. Only the providers have access to the user data and can directly take appropriate measures and provide information.

FACEBOOK PAGES, GROUPS AND SOCIAL PLUGINS

We use Facebook pages, Facebook groups and Facebook social plugins ("plugins") of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

The pages, groups, and plugins can display interactive elements or content (e.g., videos, graphics, or text contributions) and are recognizable by one of the Facebook logos (a white "f" on a blue tile, the terms "Like," "I like," or a "thumbs up" sign) or are marked with the addition "Facebook Social Plugin." You can view the list and appearance of Facebook Social Plugins here . When you access a feature of our website that contains such a plugin, your device establishes a direct connection to Facebook's servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to your device, which integrates it into the website. User profiles can be created from the processed data. We therefore have no influence on the extent of the data that Facebook collects using this plugin and inform users based on our current knowledge. By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding page of our website. If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can associate the visit with your Facebook account. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example, by clicking the Like button or leaving a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your device to Facebook and stored there. Even if you are not a Facebook member, there is still a possibility that Facebook will learn and store your IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymized IP address is stored in Europe.

With the help of the Facebook pixel, Facebook is able to identify you, as a visitor to our online offering, as a target audience for displaying advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads we place only to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g., interests in certain topics or products determined based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "custom audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interests of users and are not annoying. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can further track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (so-called "conversion").

FACEBOOK PRIVACY POLICY
Facebook processes data in accordance with Facebook's data usage policy. Accordingly, general information on the display of Facebook ads can be found in Facebook's data usage policy . Specific information and details on the Facebook pixel and how it works can be found in Facebook's help section .

EU-US PRIVACY SHIELD
Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offers a guarantee to comply with European data protection law.

CONTRACT DATA PROCESSING AGREEMENT
For the processing of data for which Facebook acts as a data processor, we have concluded a data processing agreement with Facebook in which we oblige Facebook to protect our customers' data and not to pass it on to third parties.

To set which types of ads are displayed to you within Facebook, you can visit the page set up by Facebook and follow the instructions there regarding usage-based advertising settings . The settings are platform-independent, i.e. they are applied to all devices, such as desktop computers or mobile devices. With the help of the Pinterest tag, Pinterest is able to determine the visitors to our online offering as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called “Pinterest ads”). Accordingly, we use the Pinterest tag to only display the Pinterest ads we place to Pinterest users who have shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g., interests in certain topics or products determined based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Pinterest (so-called “ActALike Audiences”). With the help of the Pinterest tag, we also want to ensure that our Pinterest ads correspond to the potential interests of users and do not appear annoying. If you subsequently log in to Pinterest or visit Pinterest while logged in, your visit to our website will be recorded in your profile. The data collected about you is anonymous to us, meaning it does not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of the user.

Pinterest processes data in accordance with Pinterest's data usage policy. Accordingly, general information on the display of Pinterest ads can be found in Pinterest's data usage policy: https://policy.pinterest.com/en/privacy-policy .
